About The Army

The East yorks moped army was formed by Des Brown and Peter Gibson and are nicknamed THE PUDDLE SPLASERS.Members include, Des, Pete, Spike, Andy, and James & Garry.
The site started after a member was diagnosed with cancer and he decided to do a charity run on mopeds. So we decided to do a charity run on The East Coast Run, Hull to Seweby, with the Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club on the 13th June 2010. The run is on behalf of the Childrens Cancer Unit at Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham, Hull.

All six members have sponsorship for the said run which leaves East Park, Hull, at 11am 13th June. Please get in touch if you would like to sponsor us, or send donations to www.charitygiving.co.uk/moped2

There is no membership fee, it’s just for people who like to help preserve and show off their historic machines.

The members and our friends are also looking for new peds to restore preferably 60/70 s  so if you have anything stuck in the back of your shed please let us know
